Hello! I am the type of person who is always upbeat and cheerful, as I believe we all are supposed to live a happy life. I am into my last ten years of working and instead of being in a office behind a desk, I have decided to do something more meaningful to me. I cared for my grandmother (granny) many years ago and after her, I helped care for my father. They were both much happier being at home and comfortable than being in a hospital or nursing home and we were all happy to help their lives be lived out in their homes. One year ago, my six year old grandson came to live with me and it has been the best time of my life so far. I am learning so much from him as he is from me. It is my wish for him to know what kindness and compassion are and I believe children learn form what they see you do and not just from words. I believe our older folks have so much wisdom and when you listen to them so much can be learned but if they can't speak, they still deserve the utmost respect and dignity. So I am looking forward to getting started on this new path!
