I became a caregiver because I love helping those in need since we all can't have the opportunity to move around from place to place and have people to talk to daily so that's my passion to give people the hospitality I would want if I was in the same position. I like to take care of people since I have nine kids myself and I've been taking care of my late grandmother back home and that gave me the strive and passion to take care of people. A personal achievement that I am proud of is handling patients that are hard-headed, I've always kept my cool under any circumstances which is hard for other people to do. I've always had patience with people because everyone is different and they've all went through different struggles. I'm firm but sensitive to my patients, I'm always punctual and flexible as well, I do what patients ask of me for example at my last job my patient was a walker and I've always walked with her faithfully when the weather permitted and if she was able to. I cook anything my patients want since I am a Certified Professional Food Manager, I also clean up around the house since it's like a second nature to me. ... more

I've performed personal care functions, such as changing diapers, cleaning her up and ensuring her comfort throughout the deterioration of her health and I've done her vital signs and r ange of motions. ... more
