October 11, 2014 My Bio My name is Evelyn Lofland, but I like to be addressed as Ms. Eve. I am a 56 years young, mother of 8, grandmother of 4, and great-grandmother of 3. I was working 2 jobs, my morning job is working with mentally challenged and disabled children, and my evening job is working with mentally challenged and disabled adults. This is my passion. I am glad to be applying for this position due to the fact that I love building a positive relationship with my individual’s but also with my co-workers, and family members. I was inspired to become a caregiver due to the fact my brother was born with cerebral palsy and that was the start of my care giving career. One of my great achievements is the fact that I raised my brother to become a self-sufficient, independent and productive adult. I have worked in the medical field all over the United States. I had gain intense knowledge and experience through the years When I complete my program in Health Care Management program, I will be able to apply my knowledge to opening my Host Home for Mentally Challenged and Disabled Children. Thus far I have completed 160 credit hours. I was a VCO student. My favorite things to do are; play hidden object games on my laptop, ceramics, reading, listening to Gospel, and most of all I enjoy being with my grandchildren, and family.
