Things that help me be a great care giver is definitely Patience. People who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks. Empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary, Humor, Being Present, Detail Oriented, and being Able to Accept Help. What attracted me to being a caregiver is seeing the smile on residents faces after you've completed a tasks or doing something that they enjoy. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver would have to be listening to all of the stories that they have to tell and also helping them out as much as I can.
