I became a caregiver because, when I was 10 years old my great-grandmother was placed into an assisted living home. As for our family we thought this was the best option at the moment, she was treated horrible, I was devastated when she passed away. I've always said since then that I would become a care giver to help others elderly and or disabled. What I like about being a care giver is giving compassion, letting them know that I am there to help and that they can always depend on me to help. Honestly a personal achievement I am very proud of is when I passed my CNA class with flying colors. Somet hing about myself is I honestly love talking, I can sit and talk with someone all day if I could. ... more
