I'd describe my personality as a kind, generous, full of laughs, and easy-going. I'm looking for a job that allows me to support an older adult live their life as they wish to. I have completed training as a certified nurse's aide (CPR included) at OCC recently, so if any issue arises, your parent would have a steady hand available to make sure he gets the care needed. I have training with mobility issues and bathing and can provide care help in the best, safest ways. I'm also trained as a spiritual companion so listening and conversation comes easily to me on any topic. In my spare time, I like to cook, garden, read, do genealogy, go for walks in nature, and watch old movies. I enjoy taking the time to listen to another and give them the space to understand their desires and then support them in serving those as best we can. My skills include listening, patience, kindness, laughter, and prudence. I am available to serve 20 hours a week with some flexibility there. I am married and don't have children so I am sure we could find a schedule that works for your parent and I.
