Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

Providing active treatment and skills training according to each Individual Program Plan (IPP) to assist Individuals to function independently in self-help &/or daily-living skills (e.g. eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, communication, money management); trains the individuals to serve themselves & assist in pre & post meal set up; assures access to personal possessions & assures individuals are dressed appropriately; accompanies and trains individuals in programs at off- living area program areas as described in the individuals' IPP; assists with planning & implementing therapeutic leisure-time activities including community trips (e.g. shopping, movies, out to eat, hair cut appointments, grocery shopping, banking); institutes appropriate behavioral intervention for unacceptable behavior as defined by approved behavioral plans; completes required daily documentation; provides level of supervision as determined by Individuals' IPP; maintains a positive learning environment by providing positive reinforcement, encouragement and promoting an atmosphere of choice and self management. Communicates with the individual's in a manner indicative of a relaxed atmosphere and interacts with them in a positive, constructive manner.

Performs routine specialized procedures such as dressing changes. * Under the direction of a nurse, provide personal care and education to patients and/or families. * Nutritional support, mobility and elimination assistance. * Documentation or other documents as assigned. * Any other duties which may be required from time to time.
