I absolutely love being a Senior caregiver! Starting at the age of 11 years old, I did volunteer work at a nursing home and that is when I realized I had a heart for the elderly. I have a willingness to serve, an absence of “attitude,” and the patience to weather a patient’s bad days. It's a selflessness that comes over me when caring for the elderly. In my past experiences I've learned a lot from my patients; from their time era of hardships growing up to their dedication to family. While working with the elderly and learning all of these qualities, it makes me have a self respect and the desire to give the help they deserve back. If I can help them in anyway from staying on a daily routine and doing exercises to an enjoyable conversation on a rainy day, I feel the satisfaction of showing my respect for the elderly.
