I am a very caring person who loves to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. I love this job because I am able to help people in need of assisted care. I have 29+ years of experience working with senior and disabled adults. I'm a very caring and loving caregiver. It is my passion to help those that have a difficult time or can no longer do some things for themselves be able feel as in control and independent as possible. All my previous clients and their families have always gave me high praise for being so caring, patient, efficient and punctual. I really love what I get to do and my experience is extensive. I have assisted patients with multiple chronic diagnoses including congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, high blood pressure, diabetes, memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer, Parkinson, myoclonus, anxiety, depression, COPD and asthma. Assisted with showering, grooming, dressing, exercise and other ADLs. I have knowledge with the use and assembling of respiratory equipment and 24-hour oxygen usage. Prepared and organized patients medications. Tested glucose and administered injections. Assisted with adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Planned, prepared and served meals and snacks according to prescribed diets. Bowel care and incontinence. Provide transportation, assistance and companionship to clients. Cleaned and organized patients living quarters. Performed household tasks such as light housecleaning, laundry, dusting, washing dishes, vacuuming, shopping and running errands.
