My name is Paula Mosseri, I am the mother of three and the grandmother of two. I have worked as an orchestral instrumental music teacher; working with students from grade five to grade twelve. I have also worked as a private strings instructor with students as young as three years of age to adults in their fifties. I have been employed as a substitute teacher in several public schools in SE Michigan. I am currently looking to expand my employment opportunities by working as an adult caregiver. I had the privilege of caregiving for grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzeheimer's, throughout her eighties until her passing at ninety three. I found working with her both rewarding and challenging. My duties included: grocery shopping with her, bathing, light house keeping, prepping meals and engaging her in physical and mental activities. I learned many things by being with her such as; patience, kindness, refocusing her, engaging her and multi tasking, as well as learning my limitations, asking for help and reaching out for resources when necessary. I am proud of myself and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with and caretake my grandmother, creating memories that will last forever. I have worked in food service, education, motherhood and caretaking. I have leaned a great deal from every job and have taken that knowledge with me to other positions. I am not afraid of hard work and I am willing to learn new skills, so I may be successful in any position I may hold.
