I have always had jobs that include a lot of responsibilities and problem-solving skills. I am very organized and work hard on the job at hand. Even in high school, and now in college, I'm given important tasks because of my dedication and sense of responsibility. Working as a lifeguard gave me experience working with the elderly as most of the classes I guarded were for seniors. I found that I had quite a natural rapport with them and even formed some friendships. This experience made me much more interested in being a caregiver, I really enjoyed getting to know the people in the classes I supervised and being able to help them. I also spent a lot of time with my grandma after she developed dementia, and I was happy to be able to help her feel more comfortable and provide some company throughout her struggles.
