• Worked directly with Organizational Board President and foundation in the planning, fundraising, and project management of a $400,000 therapeutic accessible garden space. Developed strong community ties to support this project, including support from the Brookfield Zoo and the surrounding villages. • Developed Caregiver Recourse Center for at-home caregivers. This area was developed to provide caregivers with tools to engage clients in their homes. Caregivers borrow researched-based “life enrichment tool kits.” • Researched and wrote marketing, financial, and feasibility reports concerning new initiatives. • Created three Life Enrichment Coordinator, and one Transportation Coordinator, positions. Mentored and developed staff. Led team of fifteen Life Enrichment and Transportation Partners. Led team in carrying 900 programs and 50 transportation runs monthly. • Lead numerous community outreach initiatives, created promotional materials, and wrote copy for press releases, blogs, and website postings. • Carried out all aspects of social services including: case management, care planning, MDS, end of life family counseling, discharge planning, and behavioral management. • Developed training tools for: dementia, behaviors, care for the caregiver, sensitivity, abuse, group leadership, client engagement in the home, and others. • Led family support groups. • Supervised two college internships.

• Fulfilled the IDPH activity consulting requirement for fifteen Chicagoland facilities. Organization types included older adult and psychiatric services (LTC, SC, AL, IL, CCRC, and MI). Provided all staff, activity, and psych social education on various topics. Reviewed documentation, provided clear feedback and recommendations. Demonstrated new ideas and made resource recommendations. Observed, and at times led, programming. Was available by phone or email to problem solve with clients. Completed required reporting to Activity Director, Administrator, and Office. • Assisted with teaching elements of a 36-hour Activity Director Course at Harper College. • Developed a new model for recreational services at an in-hospital SNF unit. • Co-presented at LSN regarding therapy and activity services integration for rehab programing.
