I enjoy being a caregiver; after having raised 2 sons and working as a paralegal for 30 years, I assisted my husband in owning and operating an Adult Family Home for the past 3 years in Wisconsin. We took on the "worst of the worst" adults with disabilities with several mental illness, including autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, PTSD, etc. I've been chased with knives, had canned corn and microwaves thrown at me. I have a natural gift in calming agitated behaviors and in entertaining adults with disabilities.
