I worked as a CNA for 16 yrs (3 years as a PCW) until I went back to school for my associates in Medical Administration. I went into the field as I love taking care of others. I find it to be very rewarding, like no other career. Helping others with daily life skills, no matter what it is, brings joy to my life. Knowing I make a difference feels good. I am very professional as I have worked in the field for such a long time. I am sensitive to a person's needs as well. It is very important to me to that the client/patient is taken care of as well. At some point in our lives we all will require help. It is so important that we remember this as we care for another in need. I am looking to work the overnight shift 2-3 nights per week or 5-6 shifts in a 2-week pay period. I am available to work between 7p-9a. I am also willing to work longer shifts up to 15 hours per shift. I would like to stay around 30 per week as I am enrolled in an online Medical Transcription course presently.

I am more than halfway done with nursing school, and am on track to receive my LPN license this month, upon passing my boards. I was actually providing in-home care for one of my nursing instructor's parents, whom happened to have progressing dementia, up until recently due to passing away. After this experience, I realized that I have a love for private care - being able to focus all of my time one patient and truly get to know their personality, their likes and dislikes, and learn their history and hear their stories without the time rush we have when in a facility. It truly makes a difference in a person's overall health when they're getting that uninterrupted holistic care. I have such a passion for caring for others and simply making people smile; life's just too short not to!
