Hello! My name is Madison. I have worked as a direct support aid in the past. From doing so I have a few take aways from residents and my supervisors. My personality goes well with care giving. I always have a good attitude when dealing with residents. I strive to help people be happy and healthy even outside of work. I tend to look for extra things I can do to make a persons day like watering their plants, folding blankets, straightening news papers (of course if this is ok with them). I tailor my care to the parson. As for expertise my prior work experience says it all! Changing the pace a little. what attracted me to caregiving was my inherent caregiving nature. I like to remind my friends about things, help them with laundry, make their days easier. Making peoples day is the most enjoyable part of being a caregiver. There aren't a lot more things as rewarding as helping someone be happy and healthy. My most precious personal achievement that I'm proud of is a letter from management about comments made by a residents family directly about me. I'm so proud that I did that good of a job at helping her and making her day that the resident mentioned me by name to family when she hardly ever spoke to anyone! I still have the letter up on my wall. Long story short I have a big heart, I will do the best I possibly can to help and to make their day better.
