I have been a caregiver for over 40 years .... I have experience with wound care and sterile procedures. I understand Supra pubic catheters ,changing them etc . I spent 12 years taking care of a woman who had M.S... my recent job i helped a family care for their mother until she passed away i was with them for over a year. throughout my career I have done jobs which require light housekeeping, taking care of animals, shopping and companionship. I can offer overnight shifts also. I have fantastic references and looking for a great job with a great employer..... whether it is full time or part time. I can also do live in if needed..i love all animals too. Owning my car i have dependable transportation and i'm very reliable which previous employers would tell you. My name is Margaret and I am actively seeking a caregiving position. I have been with my current client for 3 1/2 years but the time has come to make a change. I am a Dementia and Alzheimer's specialist. I am experienced in Memory Care. Memory Care clients are my favorite people in all of healthcare! Though my first pick is with the Dementia and Alzheimer's clients, I have had other clients with other conditions, such as, stroke, diabetes and congested heart failure etc.. In 2011 when my ex mother in law became sick I became one of her caregivers. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed caring for her. I do believe this is my calling. I was once offered a position as manager of a home health company. I did not think I could do that job. I was right because I need to be the caregiver not the office person. I love my job. I like everything about caregiving. I love my seniors. I love their stories and their laughter. I'm happy when they are happy. I look forward everyday to seeing my seniors. I love cooking, cleaning and fussing over my seniors, so I'm a natural at caregiving. Remember if you love what you do it's never a job. My fee starts at $25 an hour. My fee increases if the shift is split. Also would like employer to pay a share of taxes. I am currently working for $24 an hour but I am not so sure that after 36.5 months it's working.
