Currently I am a high school teacher in which our school's focus is education and health care. The student population I serve has been challenged with barriers that have hindered education. Barriers such as, physical and mental health conditions, homelessness, teen parenting, stability within the home etc. My goal in becoming a Caregiver is to continue servicing people from my heart. I am fortunate to be in great shape and to have great health. Therefore, I enjoy learning and using my intellect and physical body to service others. I would like to continue promoting compassion, giving, and humility to young people and becoming a Caregiver is one way I fulfill in action my desires. I hope to encourage the students I service to choose health care careers and become Caregivers in their communities. The best part about being a Caregiver is the wealth of knowledgeable people encountered. People are so complex, yet insightful and so very different and each person encountered offers their wealth of life. For this, I'm thankful.
