The first time I served as a care-giver was with my father who suffered from dementia. Though I was not his primary care giver, I was responsible for his care and safety as his medical power of attorney. From that time I knew I wanted to enter the medical field as a caregiver, and I began the process of completing my nursing degree later the year after he passed away. I'm a mother to 6 (only 2 left at home), farm girl, and goat lady - in my spare time I read, knit and love to garden.
