My name's Eva and I care about people. I am 23, a CNA, and a mother to the most wonderful little girl on the planet who is 15 months old. I think it's important to help those who cannot completely help themselves and to enjoy the work that you do. Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities include: providing personal hygiene, assisting with activities of daily living, checking and recording patient vital signs and weight, collect urine and stool samples, record intake and output information, and chart about other patient activities that occur throughout the shift.   I also help provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials, repositioning every 2 hours, answering call lights, transporting patients by wheelchair and bed, and reporting observations of patients to my nursing supervisor.  In this setting I am responsible for the care of 50 Veteran’s per shift, which includes helping most get up in the morning and dress, lay down after breakfast, help the Veterans back up for lunch, then lay back down after lunch, and help them back up for dinner, then help get the Veterans ready for bed.
