M mother had a stroke and was paralyzed and lost her speech. I left my job at the hospital to stay home and care for her. After staying home with mom for 3 years, I got her into an adult daycare and went to school to get my CNA. I love taking care of people, I have been a caregiver all my life it seems. I am most proud of the ten years I took care of my mother. Not one bed sore. After my mom passed, my husband of 30 years found out he had pancreatic cancer and passed 1 year later. I have stayed home for three years now but miss having someone to take care of and am looking forward to getting back to work.
