I am interested in becoming a Caregiver because I have recently worked as a PCA at an assisted living facility and have found that I really enjoy working with the elderly. I enjoy getting to know the residents and hearing them tell me about their life. You get the opportunity to form a bond and a friendship with not only the clients but the family as well. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is when I went back to school for medical assisting. As much as I did not like school, I never thought I would voluntarily go back. I wanted to make something of myself so that my children could have someone to look up to. I've always known that I wanted to work in the medical field since I was a little girl. My grandma was an RN and I would see her taking care of my grandpa. To me she was an inspiration, showing me the importance of taking care of others. While I did not pursue my RN degree, I still want to somehow work in the medical field.
