I am a 23 year old caregiver. I've always loved helping others even as a child I've always believed that's my calling in life. I've worked with many different people and I've enjoyed every moment. You really have to be different to do this kind of work and it is not a job for everyone. When I first started caregiving I worked with this teacher from Julieart. She suffered from Alzheimer's and Dementia. She also could not take a lot .She would smile all day until it was time for her to go to the bathroom I would get her in there and she would just cry. I understood that if she could do this her self she would and one day she burst out and said Thank you Ma'am. My heart melted. I couldn't understand why she was thanking me for doing something that she needed help with. That was the day I realized that this was the job I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I want to be able to put a smile on someone's face even if just for a second. The world goes around with good energy and helping hands.
