To be a "great" caregiver you actually have to build a bond with your patient as well as others you are working for or with. Hint the word CARE in caregiving, the patient always comes first no matter what. I feel that I am really passionate about what I do and how I do it. I got into this field after my grandmother passed from Alzheimer's disease. There are ups and downs of course but that comes with a relationship. I just love to help in any way I can. It really makes a difference. My most recent big achievement was starting a business for myself while being a full time college student and working on the side doing caregiving and direct support work.
