About KeeSha

I get to know my patients but listening to the stories of their lives. I want to help ensure they are happy and safe. I've always loved the company of my elders and being a caregiver was a natural thing in my life. I like to form a bond with my patients and earn their trust because I understand that some situations, like help in the bathroom, can be very difficult and embarrassing for some of them and I want my patience to feel at ease and safe around me.

Fred Pickett
I would make breakfast when I came in the mornings, and then help with a shower and getting dressed. Made sure that medication was taken on time and when needed, I administered medication via port in chest. I would drive him to all dr. appointments and keep up with any medication changes and all paperwork, to pass on to his son because he lives with him. During a medical emergency, I found Fred slumped over in the bathroom. I got him to the floor and in a safe position, called paramedics, and was able to get him stabilized with the help of 911 on the phone, until help got there. I would bath and change adult diapers when needed. Tended to bedsores. Did massage therapy to help with soreness. I was trained by his nurse on how to clean and care for the incision from his surgery on his leg that ran from knee to ankle. I have cared for Fred while he went through lengthy hospital stays that caused diminished mental capacity that mimicked dementia. I provided care, love, understanding, patience, transportation, understanding, and safety while taking care of Fred. I did this until he was stable and dr. released him from needed round the clock care. At present I offer respite care for Fred if I am needed and have a free day.

Nellie Michaels
I was Mrs. Michael's live in caregiver. I assisted her with everything she needed to do from help getting out of bed in the morning to getting in the bed at night. I prepared all her meals and made sure she took her medication on time. I help her with showers an getting dressed. Her right hand and arm were immobile, so I assisted her with everything that would require two hands to do.

Clyde Reeves
I would wake Clyde in the morning. Change her adult diaper, clean and redress her bedsore, and get her dressed. I would transfer Clyde to the wheelchair and then we would go to the kitchen while I made her breakfast and made sure she took her morning medication. I would help her bathe and wash her hair, brush her teeth, and clip her nails. If she needed light exercise or light massage because of stiffness from being in bed, I would provide that. I would then get Clyde settled in her living room and then go do whatever shopping she needed. I would return in the afternoon and prepare her lunch and check in on her. I would return in the early evening and prepare her dinner and make sure she took her night time meds. I would transfer her back to her bed, change her adult diaper, help her get in her night clothes. I did light housecleaning and laundry if it was needed. I would keep her hospice nurses updated on her condition daily and helped assist the nurses with anything that was needed for Clyde. I was Clyde's caregiver until she passed away at home

Helped her get dressed after changing her adult diaper and cleaning and dressing bedsores. I would transfer her from the bed to the wheelchair and then from wheelchair to recliner. Fixed breakfast. Assisted with eating when needed. Administered meds. Called in refills and checked dr. appointments. Drove to dr. appointment and took notes to relay to son. Prepared lunch. I would do laundry if it was needed. Strip and clean bed and dress with new sheets. Help do light exercise and light massage if it was needed. I would return in the early evening and prepare dinner if needed. Help get dressed for bed. Transfer back to bed. Light house cleaning and shopping if it was needed. I also provided care for Patsy while she had several hospital stays and have even stayed over night if the family needed extra help. I was Patsy's caregiver until she passed away.

I learned at a young age that I truly loved people and "doing" for them. I believe that was the reason I was so successful in our hospitality business. Meeting all types of personalities and caring to their needs was always my pleasure. I have gravitated to the elderly for more years than I can remember. Perhaps because the businesses we (my husband & I had) catered to were mostly retired clientele. What I enjoy most is knowing I am making a positive difference in the life of the individual I have been entrusted to care for and watch over. I am proud of the fact I have developed many long lasting, loving relationships with people I have met throughout my life time. I am a good friend and listener and I deeply love my life, family and friends and I am most grateful for the many wonderful opportunities I have experienced.
