I became a Caregiver because it's always been in my nature to help people. I knew when I was very young that I specifically wanted to work with the older population. I enjoy my job because it allows me to interact with my residents/patients, I learn about them and their lives, and most importantly I get to help them, and I personally love it. Recently, I had a group of CNA students who we're shadowing me. When their clinicals were done, they all got together and got me a card saying how appreciative they were for all my help. I took that to heart because it made me feel like I helped them by showing them the proper protocol to giving great patient care. I'm a 22 year old mother of a very energetic 2 year old. As all of my jobs have required working with the general public, I'm a huge people person and I get along with just about any and everyone. I love cooking, reading, sudoku puzzles, and planting different flowers, vegetables, and herbs.
