I've been working in this field now for over 30 years and I get a joy out of helping others.I became a caregiver after completing school in 1989 . I immediately began to work in my profession.I like being a caregiver because the Heavenly Father has blessed me to have a love for it.I'm 50 years of age I'm a minister, I'm a wife and a mother. I have a love for people and respond to them well, I'm trustworthy as well as dependable. My job is to give each client the best quality of care as I assist them to achieve all of their daily activities.

I have found that my passion/calling is to care for the elderly and/or individuals, who can't do so for themselves. My heart is overwhelmed with genuine happiness when providing care and/or maintaining a personal relationship with each resident, client, and/or patient. I sincerely love fulfilling my heart's desires & passion by providing care, love, companionship, friendship, and even medical care to individuals; resulting in them having a sense of peace, as they go through life changes and having to deal with situations that may be unfamiliar. I find that doing so & providing the utmost respectful care to each of them, brings forth a growth for even myself, as I continue my education into becoming an RN (later to bridge into Nurse Practitioner). Daily, I am seeking the latest knowledge and skill so hopefully I can improve my care traits daily, to a wider/higher demand of clients. I am most definitely proud of a personal achievement in my life pertaining to my husband (who was diagnosed with late stages of Testicular cancer twice)! After receiving a prognosis of 18 months, I decided to further my education & resources, in hopes to find more options....and I did! After nearly 2 years, he is now in remission & cancer-free! This is not to boast about what I did, but instead the 'determination, drive, & passion', that I was blessed with. I will ALWAYS go above & beyond in providing the best care for clients & their family members! I believe there is always room for growth and in order to do so, you must first humble yourself to what you were called to do, whatever that may be!

I am jovial, kind, empathetic, energetic, reliable, polite and trustworthy person. I am a hardworking Individual who takes pride in ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner. I enjoy working as part of the team in providing excellent services. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills which are important during contact with clients, family members and other professionals. I am an individual who values professional development and take responsibility of my own training, and reflective supervision in my work. One of the reasons I enjoy doing caregiving job is because, I love helping others by making their daily tasks easier to manage. What makes me a great caregiver is that I genuinely love taking care of others. Since I was younger, I was the one that people turned to help take of others in my family. I took care of both my grandparents until they transitioned. I'm a people person. I have a caring heart and most importantly I'm a listener. I'm attentive and compassionate. I try my best to go above and beyond to make those I care for feel better and cared for. I've been certified for 11 years. I love doing what I do, and that's helping others in their time of need.

I love being a caregiver for the simple reason I love taking care of others. My Mother is a RN & before I went to get my CNA I literally learned everything from her, I hope to open my own home health agency in 3 years. I am tiny but strong most of the people I take care of could tell you I'm full of surprises but good ones.
