I decided to become a caregiver after having a severe illness putting me in ICU for 8 days causing me to have to have help with basic daily activities like showering, toilet, walking ,etc. I personally enjoy getting to know the patients (residents) such as their life stories , medical history , likes and dislikes personal interest. I'm a very loving, caring and nurturing person. I have a big loving heart. I believe everybody deserves to be loved, cared for and have somebody there to talk to them and to listen to them. I enjoy being there for people and seeing that they are taking care of, loved, and that they are not alone. I am proud to say that I am a Christian and that I have some great amazing healthy children and grandchildren. God and my family come first and each and every person's home that I walk into I look at them as my family and they become a big part of my family and I treat them and love them just as they are my family. This is not just a paycheck to me this is about taking care of people and showing them the love and care that they deserve. I have been into clients homes that it is literally broke me into seeing how they have been treated or how they are living and that they have nobody that seems to care. I want to help people know that they are important and they are very much loved.
