I got started in healthcare at 15 years old. I started by taking care of my mom, as she had mini strokes & had to go to therapy. I would go to therapy with my mom & then help her with therapy at home, then I helped my dad get his stuff ready to go to work every morning. After my daddy left for work I'd take a nap just before going to school. I enjoy being around elderly people, having conversations, helping them with daily tasks & being a companion to them. I've been to school to be a CNA, a Certified Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Emergency Medical Technician & hopefuly one day finish achieving my RN degree. I'm also a mom of four grown children & I have nine grandbabies. I enjoy taking care of people of all ages. I specialize in caring for people with disabilities & Alzheimers/Dementia disease. I have always been around older people, specifically, my grandmother. I really enjoyed all of her humorous ways,(sarcasm) and her carefree attitude towards life and living. When I say,"She enjoyed her life!!" Imagine what that definition is in your world!!. She was a elementary school Janitor but lived her life, the way she dressed, and traveled, like a movie star. I learned alot from her about respect and being good to people in general.

I have ALWAYS enjoyed being needed and helping others out. I would be the girl running to grab bandaids for my friends if they needed one. Iv always been caring and enjoy caring for others. That is a big part of my personality ! It is so enjoyable to be involved in elderly lives ! I find it so rewarding to help those who have lived their life. What a privilege it is and while they might be done living their "best" life, I enjoy bringing them ease and comfort. A part of me feels like I help them enjoy life even though it's not the life they use to have. I have worked with clients on chemo, altimeters, dementia, and gastrointestinal disorders. It has shown me how you come off and say things make a HUGE difference in their every day life. I like to keep it as simple as possible, as stress free as possible, and as comfortable as possible. This makes life easy. I am proud I have found through experience these little tactics out. I absolutely LOVE caregiving. It helps prepares me for my future roles as a further my career.
