I have worked in the healthcare field the past 4 years; I absolutely love it. I have worked in a group home, ISL(individual supported living), nursing homes and psychiatric hospital, ages ranging from 3-100. I worked as a CNA at the nursing home, helping with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, changing and person hygiene. In the ISL, I worked with disabled clients, helping with their everyday need. I would provide transportation, assist with house cleaning, administrating meds, personal hygiene and community skills. I Thoroughly enjoy working in the healthcare field and plan to attend college to get my RN degree. After graduation I would like to become a behavioral health nurse. I love being able to help people with things that they are no longer able to do.

I became a Care Giver because I love helping others In their daily living activities. Love to see the gratitude expression on their faces, and for the residents to know and feel that I'm here for them to know that they are not alone. I know that making the decision of becoming a care giver has been the best choice of my life, because I love what I do, love to know that out there, somewhere the're are a lot of seniors who need assistance, and care in so many different ways, but the're may not be that many care givers who are willing to help them, so for me it's an honor and a privilege to to be considered to assist any resident or loved one with their ADLs. I am very responsible out going team player flexible with hours willing travel. I'm very careful at what I do, learn quickly. I'm very compassionate trustful, loyal. Hello My name is Mayalinda, I have over 10 years of experience as a compassionate caregiver. I took 2 and a half years of nursing back in my country - Philippines. A friend of mine from California offered me a job, took the opportunity without 2nd thoughts, and thats how i started. There are a number of reasons why i love being a caregiver. First, helping and caring for the elderly on their time of need at that stage of their lives makes us feel appreciated not only from the patients but from their families as well. I taught for 25 years I enjoy helping others 5 years ago I had the privilege to work with high needs special Ed students that we're adult age that I took on as clients as they graduated I discovered it gave me even more enjoyment than teaching
