What helps me be a great caregiver is being who I am. I was born with great compassion for overs and their well-being. As a young child I've always helped my older peers with their disadvantages in life or their disability. Caring comes naturally to me being a mother and grandmother. Giving endless love and company. What attracts me to being a caregiver would be me knowing I'm able to help someone and I'm able to make their life easier and possibly to change their life for the better. I enjoy being in the company of someone that feels alone and useless. Letting them know I care for them and I'm there to listen an talk about their needs and wants. I am proud of the mother and grandmother and caregiver I became in life. I'm a very dependable and dedicated person once I set a goal I achieve it an go beyond.

What makes me a great caregiver cuz I'm a people person and I have compassion and I care about how the how they feel. Well I love most about being a caregiver is that I can help and show that I care and that I'm a living person and I give joy and laughter and comfort out of helping others. My mom was a CNA for 40 years before she passed away and I've been volunteering since I was 12 years old so that's what motivates me to be a caregiver. I'm proud of being a mother I'm proud of being a grandmother I'm proud of just being a person as in the community I'm proud of myself of learning going back to school getting my caregiver certificates and getting all my certificates that I have in ADLs patient care helper I'm just proud of me being a person who I am I'm proud like I said being a mother and a grandmother of course and a wife and I'm proud that I took care of my mom my dad and my grandfather before they passed away.

I've been a CNA for 19yrs & a Caregiver for over 30yrs. I love taking care of people; learning about peoples lives & encouraging them. I love doing Respite Care. I love to interact with pediatric, geriatric & babies.

I have been in the medical industry my entire life. Caregiving is definitely the most rewarding part of the industry for me. I love making later life more liveable, enjoyable and worth while to seniors in the final years of life. I am energetic, compassionate, capable and loving all in one. I love being a caregiver, because helping people especially elderly is a very rewarding job, someone need to help elderly and that's me, should help them .. Not everyone likes to be s caregiver but for me it's a very rewarding job. I feel good if I can make an elderly patient smile again and especially if they can get back in walking again . I was very proud of myself when a dementia patient of mine was back to her normal situation ( not exactly normal) but giving the medications on time and feeding or reminding her or him that it's time to eat will help a lot in getting better. Time management for the daily activities of the patient will help a lot in getting better for the patient well being . I considered myself as one of the best caregiver at my job now, and will continue to give my good care to the elderly until I retire .
