I am a compassionate,kind patient, trustworthy and reliable person. I was attracted to caregiving because it is a job that has the potential to to make a difference in someone's life. I enjoy interacting with them and taking care of them makes me feel like am part of the family. The personal achievement that am proud of is knowing that my time ,presence and efforts can provide comfort to someone .

These are some of the qualities that I value and am known for as a caregiver: Self motivation- I enjoy looking for new ways in which to assist in or improve a situation. Reliable- I am a stable part of my client's lives by showing them that I can be present and on time when they need me. Respecful- I demonstrate the importance of being kind and patient with my clients in order for them to keep their dignity and happiness. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I enjoy making people feel comfortable and cared for whether that be physically or emotionally. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver are the friendships the have formed. Being able to assist while engaging with clients is the highlight of my day. Even if they are limited in their communication, I enjoy the connection with them through something as simple as a smile. A personal achievement I am proud of is attending college while keeping excellent grades because I make it a goal to work hard at whatever I am doing.

Hi there, my name is Abby and I have been working in caregiving/healthcare for about 8 years. My mother worked as a CNA her whole life. I would often volunteer in the facilities she worked at, and I started as a CNA myself when I was 16. I have experience in a variety of healthcare settings, from home care to facilities to pharmacies to disability care. I have completed extensive training in Alzheimer's and dementia care, intellectual and developmental disabilities and basic life support and first aid. I have always been passionate about helping people and I love being able to help seniors stay in their homes and maintain their independence. Being able to form connections with clients, getting to know what they enjoy, and supporting them in continuing to the things they love is very important to me. I am a very enthusiastic, reliable and deeply caring human. I started as a nanny almost a decade ago and transferred to elder care over the last three years. I have experience with dementia care, diabetes management, end of life comfort, medication reminders and many, many ADLs. I hope to provide respite for family members, as no one person should have to be alone in caring for a loved one. I love getting to know my clients and their families to provide the best care possible.

I became a personal care provider when I was going to school for my Social Work degree. I did this for two years while I was in school. Recently, I have gone back to being a personal care provider. I have been in this profession for four years now. I became a caregiver because I have a passion for working with people. I am caring and compassionate.
