I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION

I've always enjoyed caregiving - for my younger siblings, my own children, and working with the disabled. I began caring for seniors with my elderly mother-in-law and it was deeply satisfying. I am a certified Home Health Aide, an independent caregiver experienced in all ADLs, medications, transfer needs and dementia. I enjoy the broad range of activities - meal prep, transportation, personal care, medical needs, and one-on-one care allows for a greater level of care, understanding and empathy. Dependable and caring with excellent client references "head and shoulder above other caregivers", "a godsend". Have recent drug test, background check.

I became a caregiver around 1979, always felt needed wanting to help the elderly people of all kinds. I enjoy being around people when it comes to helping the sick. I will be their for them if needed. You have to be patient understanding caring know their needs and provide lots of TLC. I took care of a elderly for 14 years, she was in a wheel chair when I met her. also a heavy drinker. Within that 14years of my caring for her I was able to help her family and the client to make a decision for the client to under go knee surgery. She was able to walk for 6 years which was joyful time for her. Few more years after that she was able to give up drinking with a little of my help. I was very happy to see this achievement. The family was proud to see this accomplishment and thank me for my assistance. This made me feel so happy and wonderful that I was able to be their for them. I am a understanding and caring person when I can help someone that needs my services I will be their. I also enjoy traveling being around my grandchildren, love my church, I love to keep up with my landscape, enjoy exercising, and focus on my health.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others in there time of need. Being a caregiver gives me the opportunity to meet wonderful people. I take my work very seriously. Just being able to assist someone that needs help makes me feel important and I make sure they know how important they are to me. I am proud doing what I do. I have a big heart and plenty of room for others. I am a very outgoing person, a hard worker, I'm there when needed. I'm reliable. Most of my family is in the health care industry. I Don't have a very positive and optimistic personality. My name is shorter then my be nickname; while is, Joyful (a high school friend gave me that name. So, yes... LOL, I'm very Joyful with a smile on my face). I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother of three for 15 years, and then started getting back into the workforce. Family is the most important thing to me and love hanging out with family. I dance since the age of three years old, all the way up until I had my first two children, and I was an assistant dance instructor for about 10+ years. Back in 2009 to 2010 I worked as a water therapy assistant and water exercise instructor in Indianapolis, IN. I love to swim, go on walks/hikes, horseback riding, ride bikes, tennis, volleyball, travel, and many other things as well. I love to helping others, great multi-tasked, and have great problem solving skills. I am a very creative person and I am a visual artist as well (I'm able to draw anything I see)... so, I have a creative eye, love working on arts and crafts, puzzles, games, photography, interior decorating, and love working with pretty much all different kinds of mediums. I've been a HHA/CNA (with CPR training and Blood-borne Pathogens that I acquired during my HHA Diploma classes with A-1 Academy) for a few years now, and I have specialized with the mentally challenged and disabled as well. I also worked with AmeriCrops. right out of high school while attending college full time. I worked as a 1st and 2nd grader tutor at IPS schools, and assisted with aftercare programs, assisted with teen night every Friday night, was a Summer Counselor, and a student Dance Instructor to assist with hours for AmeriCrops. (It was Volunteer work with a one-year contract and salary position in Indianapolis, IN). I'm always a good friend, great helper with great integrity, dependable, and reliable.
