I had my own daycare for 20 years. I been taking care of children since my first brother was born when I was 6. Other people's children at age 13, newborn and a 12-year-olds. I became a caregiver so that I could be able to take care of my mother, I like the one on one care that way I can take better care of the clients. My sisters and I took care of my mother for 14 years. I know she 's was getting the best care at home instead of being in a nursing home. I thank God she lived to be 92 years old. I have learn so much by taking care of her. I have been a Certified Nurse Assistant for 16 year. And I love taking care of peoples, that 's my calling.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I am a 22 year old single mother. I have been in the caregiving work field for 3 years now, I am very understanding and hardworking!

I became a caregiver simply by watching and helping my father take care of his grandmother as a young girl. I enjoy witnessing the joy and excitement on my patients' faces when they are being well taking care of, from as simply as giving a cold glass of water to comforting them in time of pain. For the last couple of years, I have been team captain for the Alzheimer's Walk. I set up fundraisers to help raise money for this very special event, as well as participate in the walk. I am a very dedicated person to my work. I am compassionate, loyal, honest, self motivated, and care about the well-being of my patients.

I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family. I enjoy helping others and bringing joy to others. What I enjoy most is the smile of clients face when I am with them preparing their meal, taking them shopping, watching movies, or just sitting back listening to them tell stories about their experiences. A personal achievement I'm proud of is obtaining my BA while working a full time split shift job.
