Hello, I pray you're reading about me while all is well. You may see that I did not include a particular school of training. This is because all of my experience is hands on, from the private care of my own grandmother to the private care of others and then that as a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. I am a chef by trade, but I have a passion for & love the elderly and mentally disabled. When you have a natural passion for something you excel at it. This is what makes me a wonderful caregiver. I'm always willing to put in any extra time needed to learn new things. I love spending time with the elderly & mentally disabled, & I treat them as I would my own family. I understand that it is not always easy to have someone come into your home to help you do things you've been used to doing on your own. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. What I like about being a caregiver isthat you never know how a person is feeling and when you come through the door their whole day just brightens up. A personal achievement I am proud of is having my same client for a year & a half now & he doesn't want anyone else but me, that's how I know im doing my job right. Then advanced to CNA at St Francis Hospital in Blue Island from 1977-1982 upon receiving by BA degree from Lewis University in Romeoville Il in 1981 proceeded to work as an abuse investigator for the state of Illinois. I have excellent combination and written skills. I have an innate ability to know what people need and have a way to help them express their feelings so I can further asses their needs. I absolutely love helping the elderly and anyone who needs assistance with every part of their life to help them enjoy life to the fullest.

My Name is Pearlie, I have always had the caretaker trait since I was around 10 years old. I was the grandkid that wanted to stay in the house and help my grandmother take care of my granddad and the person that want a babysitting job in the summer to help out the family.
