I am hard working ,independent , self driven, detail oriented, self motivated, organized, clean, and cheerful person! I have been a caregiver for a little over 5 years, I love helping others with day to day life skills and needs I always knew I wanted to help people and once I finally started to I knew I never wanted it to end! Helping others makes me feel so much joy just knowing that the person is being properly cared for. I love getting to know each an every person I get the pleasure of working with. I am an outgoing, friendly, and caring person. I have lost family members and I decided I wanted to take care of other people. I got into caregiving in 2017 and fell in love. I am very thorough and organized. I love my job. I have went on vacation with a client and their family to provide care in April of 2021.

I have been a CNA for 10 years, and have worked in all different situations in many different facilities. I aspire to go further with my nursing degree, and eventually, hopefully become an RN like my mom. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me a sense of purpose, I enjoy helping people. Many life lessons held dearest to my heart, came from the facility where I worked my first 2 years as a CNA. I currently work PRN for an agency based out of Indianapolis. Although I am through an agency, I have been steadily picking up at a facility in Franklin for over 5 years. I am searching for a PRN or part time option closer to home. I have always enjoyed helping and taking care of people whether it is total care or just assisting with their daily activities. I am compassionate and patient which are two important traits when you're working in this field. Anything I can do to help improve someone's quality of life is rewarding at the end of the day. I am very blessed that I was able to take care of my parents and helped them live and die with dignity and this is also my goal for my clients. My Mother was Ill from having cancer this is why i became a Caregiver........ I love being a Caregiver I am going on my 9th year as a Certified Home Health Aide. I LOVE My job and the satisfaction I get from Helping others achieve their goals...One Client I took care of had a stroke well when i took over giving this lady her care me and her decided to continue with her physical therapy ( Just rountine excerices and range & Motion on her left arm & leg ( which was partially paralyzed)..well after 2 months of continuous exercises SHE could use her left hand and actually grip the bar in the Shower! We were so proud to show her husband and Family what Her & I accomplished with a little love and compassion.... she became like My 2nd Momma and she told me i was her Angel girl so with that I love my job . for me I am Family oriented I have 4 living children 9 grandchildren (10th due in August) and 1 great grandson im dependable accurate and very compassionate and just simply love Life!

I became a caregiver because, I enjoy helping the elderly preform tasks that they are no longer able to preform on their own. I am personally proud of being able to do for and help my clients do the things that they need to have done. I am a very dependable person and really enjoy every aspect of this job.

I am a level-headed health-care professional who remains calm and effective in extremely difficult and stressful situations. I have strong beliefs in the importance of companionship and in patient care. I've worked with children, rehabilitation for those recovering from surgeries, elders whom need nothing but a companion, people suffering Alzheimer's and/or Dementia, and also with individuals who have physical and/or mental disabilities. I myself was born with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy but, never let it stand in the way. I grew up in the healthcare field because of my dad who has been a nurse my whole life and would bring me to work with him so I could play bingo with the residents. Ultimately I chose this career path though because, in 2013 my mom was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and after being admitted into the hospital I spent weekends by her side and sadly saw first-hand that the staff were not giving her proper care. Shortly after her being hospitalized I decided to drop out even with it being my senior year. I started classes to obtain my GED and also registered at Indiana Healthcare Professionals and the day of her funeral was my first day of classes to become a Certified Nursing Assistant which I successfully completed in June of 2014.I love the healthcare industry because I have found a little piece of my mom in everyone I've assisted; which is why, giving my best is never questioned. I plan to start school again in the near future to become an elementary school special education teacher. At the very least my experience as a CNA has prepared me for my next path.
