I have over fifteen years of experience in caregiver but to be honest I have been a caregiver since I was eight years. My mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was just a child. I willingly gave up my childhood to ensure my mother was cared for to the best of my ability. Being her companion as a daughter and a caregiver really gave me joy and allowed me to recognize my purpose at a young age. I love what I do and I take proud in helping those in need. I guess the main question would be why should I be a good candidate for the position offered. Well I believe I am one of the best caregivers only because I have dedicated my entire life to improving and enjoying caring for others. This has allowed me to be the woman I am today. I began my healthcare career as a CNA then went back to school and became a Registered Nurse. I am not practicing as an RN currently. At this time, I'm doing personal caregiving. I received my CNAs in 1993, I stayed up to date with them until 2007. Since then I have done Home Health, Mental Health and Assisted Living. With my Assisted Living I was a trainer and later a Mentor. I enjoy working and caring for others, I've cared for cancer patients, with bilateral amputee's, down syndrome patients, I work with dementia Parkisons Alzheimer's Manic depressants and schizophrenics.
