Hello, my name is Ivy and I love to help others. A few personality traits of mine are empathetic, reliable, and trustworthy. I think these traits are a great for to have for a caregiver role because the ones that we are taking care of relies on us for help and compassion. I enjoy getting to know different stories and cultures and seeing how far an individual can make in progressing and bettering their lives. A personal achievement of mine is being a student, majoring in practical nursing.

I am a certified medical assistant, phlebotomis,licensed cna assistant, cpr certified and first aid I am 18 years experience in the medical field I have experienced in dementia care , alzimers care and I also do companionship I have excellent references upon request. I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.

I have been a certified nursing assistant for the past 12 years in MD and PA and I am currently working on my degree in Social Work. My passion is helping others, I'm great with being patient and I am always willing to go the extra mile to care for my clients. * I am also fully vaccinated.

I enjoy helping others. I started part-time about 15 years old working with mentally challenged, down syndrome clients and individuals. Then later I provided care for my 86 year old mother in law whom lived with me until her demise @ 89. I now work @ The Arc of Baltimore providing care and support to individuals.
