I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly population receives. I enjoy talking to elderly person im taking care of and would like to know them. A personal achievement of mine is my high school graduation.

I have always loved to help others in any way I can. I believe that not only do they get their needs met, but I too, get something out of our time together. I get the privilege to get to know them, I get to hear their story, I get to walk away with something more than I started with. It makes me a happier person. I have been able to work with almost anyone, someone that has been thru a lot and has little trust. It takes patience but it is worth every bit of time I put into it! They give me as much if not more than I give them.

I'm an extremely empathetic, caring and compassionate person. I am a caretaker by nature and have always felt that doing such work I was born to do. I grew up taking close care of family members and got great joy from doing so. I feel caretaking gives me incredible purpose and can't imagine doing anything else.

I am an 38 years old black African who's very dedicated, patient, compassionate, attentive, trustworthy person. I had many people in my own family who needed help and assistance. I grew up in an environment that make me to understand what they've been going through and he creates in me the passion and love to aid. Life it's to short and we need to make sure to be there when other needs us. l like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. You take pride in your attention to detail. You don't want a desk job; you like being physical in your job and using your body as well as your brain. I have been a care giver 27 years and have done everything from the range of in home care to nursing homes and hospitals.. I have experienced all types of patients as far as mental health, long term care, pre and post surgical care, telemetry care, special care , altimizers care and hospice care.

In 2017 I graduated from nursing school with the intention of helping people be stay healthy and feel their best. I have experience working in hospital ED's, transport services and in emergency services. I am currently pursuing a nursing degree and I am looking for PT work in home care. I have many years of experience working with different age groups both in and outside of healthcare and I have really enjoyed it! I also have the necessary skills that are needed to care for a person with healthcare issues such as medical monitoring, medication administration, nutrition, etc. I also have a solid understanding of the pathology of many different diseases and illness such as diabetes, dementia, heart disease and the like. Most importantly I possess critical thinking skills needed to identify an emergency or changes that may lead to the need for further care. I possess a high degree of both professionalism and empathy. I have a great sense of humor and a ton of life experience. I treat my patients just as I would my own family and friends.
