I am an highly experienced LPN, with 20 years in home care experience. I take pride in providing great care to seniors or medically inclined individuals in their home. I do this privately. I provide flexible hours. Such as, nights, days or a 24-hour period, whatever is needed. While I provide care for you loved one, I earn my pay by cleaning and I am also willing, able and highly trustworthy to do small errands, such as (bills, groceries, etc.) References available upon request. I have worked in places from the ER, to the hospitals, nursing homes and in people's homes. I believe your loved one has the right to live the best life they can even when they are not feeling their best, battling a sickness or are elderly. It's not my job to be their boss as I work for them. I enjoy seeing them still do whatever they can to live the best life they can. I love helping people it gives me a sense of joy and warms my soul. It makes me a better person, it has taught me patience and to enjoy every moment of everyday even when it's not the greatest of days. I am proud of the mom I am. My children have the same compassionate spirit as me and enjoy helping people. I truly love what I do and the community of people that I have the pleasure to share my time with.

I'm originally from the UK , have been nursing for 25+ years . I become a hospice nurse 13 years ago.

I started out with the desire to be a caregiver after helping to take care of my great grandmother as a child. Also my mom and grandmother are both nurses. I enjoyed being able to help people who need help. What makes me good at what I do is my compassion. I love people, all kinds of people. I have taken care of all ages, from all over the world. I learn who they are, where they are from, what they like, and what they believe in. And from there I respect all their wishes and do everything I can to ensure they are happy and well taken care of. I am very hard working. I do not mind doing anything that is needed of me.

I can offer 24/7 live-in care in my beautiful home. I have a full apartment downstairs has full kitchen, living/bedroom and full handicap bathroom with double sliding glass doors out on patio overlooking beautiful property and mountain views. Have worked at several Nursing homes in area for almost 5 years. Also did home care for my Mom who passed in May 2017 in a special apartment built for her with all safety features in my own home . Also took care of Neighbor's Dad in my home who passed recently. Both needed 24/7 care. I have cared for many patients at nursing homes with numerous physical and mental disabilities. Dementia being the main disease. I have always been an advocate since a young boy. Did youth recreation since a junior in High School. Also volunteered for meals on wheels in Nyack York. Worked for Rockland county P. A. L. as a teen also. After retiring from 27 years with Verizon worked for Devereux in Red Hook New York. Also went back to school for L. P. N. I have been a care giver for 20 plus years. I enjoy what I do despite some of the pitfalls of losing a patient or going through a change in their condition. Those experiences are so hurtful to watch but you must still give comfort and support. However, those pitfalls have made me more of a better aide in terms of what to look for and what care or support is needed. My current goal is to finish college and become an RN , I am currently attending college with great hopes of being accepted in to the Nursing program.
