To start I volenteeed for almost 3 months before I accepted my first caregiving job just to make sure I was cut out for the job since then I have provided care for every stage of life from beginning of life to end of life . I believe what makes me a great caregiver is making sure my client feels safe and trusts me to take care of them or to talk to me if they have problem. I have always help take care my of grandma since I was child but once my great grandma become ill I knew right then and there I wanted to help people. I love making my clients feel like loved and letting them know that they aren't any different than me. I did not choose to become a caregiver it chose me, back in 2005 my husband was in a accident and became a quad needing full care, I became his caregiver, he passed in 2009. I then realized this was my calling as I was born with a servants heart. I was very good at what I did because my heart was in my work. I went on to become a resident manager for several years in DD and Senior Care homes, moved on to do one in one care, furthering my education yearly according to my clients needs, obtaining EQC certification as well as resident managers licensing . I have excellent references and do not quit my jobs, I care for my clients until the very end. I'm very reliable, trustworthy, honest, caring and compassionate! Im upbeat and keep my clients engaged and comfortable.
