I am a very outspoken young lady , I love working and helping anyone in need. I have a passion for working in the healthcare field . I've been in the healthcare field for quite some years now and I love what I do , as well as my individuals.

I am a very hardworking caregiver. I have been doing this kind of work for 26 years and am very passionate about what I do. I'm a good listener and try to give each person their own independence and help when needed or asked. I have a sense of humor and love to make my people happy and laugh. I have experience in a variety of areas when it comes to the home health care field. I became a caregiver because I believe in giving back and helping those who may not be able to help themselves or who needs a little more help than someone else. I love being able to be there for others. A personal achievement I am proud of is moving to North Carolina from Pennsylvania away from my family and doing it all on my own. I feel drawn to taking care of others. I served as a medical specialist for one term in the US Army National Guard. I also served as shift floor first responder at plants I worked at over the years while a cnc machinist. It has been my privilege to assist with hospice care for family and others through word of mouth. I've gone as far as getting ordained so I could spend time with one of the gentlemen I was caring for who requested me while in ICU. (They would only allow family and clergy.) I've worked with people recovering and in cancer treatment, dementia, alzheimers, deaf, blind, bed bound, mobility issues using wheel chairs and walkers, among other issues. As a caregiver, I have done many things: kept written log for family if needed, light housekeeping, baths and showers, laundry, medication monitoring, errands, helping with making and keeping appointments, the occasional over night stay, meal prep and much more. I'm also a mother of a child with a cleft pallet who also went through years of heart issues until she had surgery, and have a daughter with autism as well so special needs I'm more than comfortable with. It is my goal to make sure the comfort and safety of every individual meets their specific needs. As a caregiver, I treat everyone as extended family.

I am a very compassionate person. I love people real hard. I work very hard to treat everyone as I would my own family. I got into the caregiver business because of my grandmother. I was her primary caregiver for the last 3 years of her life.

I am a great listener, being passionate and supportive to my clients is the most important. I am very understanding due to my grand dad having a caregiver. And I love helping other families who are in the need of a caregiver. I enjoy being a companion for someone. I am proud of being an independent women at 22 years old I came along way.

I became a caregiver in 2010 to make sure that people in their home got quality care and I enjoy taking care of people in the home I used to volunteer in nursing homes and watched them getting mistreated also think that if they could stay in their home in good quality care as they tend to get better quicker and be happier. I'm very compassionate, I show empathy, I'm patience and self motivated. When providing care to any patient it's very important to have and to demonstrate these characteristics to family and their love ones. Showing them that you understand and to provide a listening ear can be essential to an individual overall care . To show empathy, putting myself in their shoes and to understand why they may feel the way they do. I like to have warm conversation while I'm provide care to help minimize them from feeling uncomfortable. It's very important to explain to them the care you are providing while providing the care.
