I enjoy most about being a caregiver is giving patients/residents attention and helping them with their needs makes me happy that I can be there to help them and their families. Hi! I have been doing this for about 6 years & have loved it since! I love being able to help keep their independence but know that I will always be there if they need help, with anything, big or small. I enjoy being that companion for them. Letting them have someone be in their presence to talk to, rely on, anything. I feel like I have grown so much in this field of work. Helping the disabled or the elderly is a passion of mine. I never thought that I could put a smile on someone's face until I became a caregiver. The reason I became a caregiver in 2009, I was sitting with a retired judge who made me take the caregiving route. I love listening to the stories they have to tell from back in the day. Being able to make them smile or even help them folding their laundry and seeing how much they appreciate what I do.
