I'm a CNA who has been caring for seniors over the past 14 years in conjunction with other caregivers in their private homes. I assisted with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, maintaining adequate groceries in the house through the family. I engaged in daily activities, including organizing mail, managing appointments, and exercising. I provided daily transferring of the patient from bed to wheelchair, to recliner and walking around the house and outside when it is safe to do so. I enjoy working with Seniors so that they can live in their homes as long as possible and so that their family members can have peace of mind. I enjoy finding ways to make life easier for someone to live in their home. I am patient and an out of the box thinker.

I am a great caregiver because I am qualified and have experience of over ten years in this field, am dependable , compassionate, caring and trustworthy. I feel fulfilled when am making a difference in people's lives through providing care. Am proud of my work because all the people that I have given care, them and their families are always happy and they appreciate my work.

I have great passion working with seniors and people who need help as well. Have developed and it has been my interest to not only work with elders and others but also to fellowship with them as well. I started of in the caregiving field with taking care of my grandfather. In the process I got to learn a lot and I did enjoy doing it. I treat every client like my own family with love and compassion. Every client had different needs, so I get to understand the client first and foremost. I mostly enjoy the learning process in caregiving, no matter how long one has been a caregiver, we get to learn new things every time. I once had a client who had dementia (late stage), who did not want to go to bed (it was late at night). One thing that the client enjoyed was watching animal documentaries . I showed the client pictures of different animals that I had taken when I went to Kenya and the client calmed down and I was able to redirect the client to bed. My patience with the client helped me assure the client that I was on her side. This scenario really made me proud of the caregiver that I'm becoming. I love what I do.

I love what I do as a caregiver, I love helping out or making vulnerable people feel cared for, loved and comfortable by all means because they deserve quality life. I love adding value to people's lives. Being a caregiver I am able to interact directly with my clients and this way I get to know them better and in this way I am able to deliver quality care. I once helped my grandpa at his old age even without any skills of caregiving by then. I ensured he had a quality life by attending to his needs and being his companion and this made him happy
