Hi I want to take a little bit about me I'm am 41 year old a mother with one daughter she is 20 I'm a certified CNA also CBRF train been working in this field for 14years Nursing Homes, Supported living, Assisted living, personal care I work went all type of people young and the Elder also with disability and behavior problems I got in this feel because I like helping people we all get older things happen to people we don't know why treat people the way you want to be treated with love kindness understand as a mother I understand how to be a parent allso as a sister and auntie love you have for your loved ones is so endearing also so important have a person would help take care of your loved ones who understand so if I'm saying I'm a good candidate yes have some years experience Ben in different situation. Do I know everything no do I know a lot yes is I'm still learning yes nice loving caring and tell the truth that's my model.

I been doing home health care for some time now.My mother and three sisters also in field. This is not a money making field you have to love what you do and caring for others.

I am presently a Restorative Aide (CNA) at the Lutheran Home on North Ave in Milwaukee. Previously, I was a CNA at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, in the SCI/D wing (spinal cord injury/disorder). I left in search of a more balanced work environment. Additional duties (ones I don't have listed), can definitely be negotiated! I obtained my CNA the start of August 2021. I grew up with my own Grandmother telling me to stop hovering and go offer help to someone who needed it...she also frequently told me, until the day she passed, "Sarah, you would be good working with people, especially like me". I'm guessing she was referring to my patience, helpfulness, and understanding, especially working with "an old gal like her (Grandma's words, not mine). The elderly/frail population is the most I have worked with, but I'm by far not limiting myself to this population only! I have worked with clients with the following diseases/disorders/afflictions: Multiple Sclerosis Parkinson's Disease Various other neurodegenerative diseases COPD Injury to the spine at various levels Missing limb or parts of limb Different stages of Alzheimer's and general dementia Helping with recovery from a stroke at home RA Clients at various stages of cancer treatment And many more specific cases, too numeral to properly list here. I don't have all skills/experiences listed, but I have been in the field of caring for over five years now and I love it! I have found my career niche in the work world! Patience and flexibility are qualities that every person in the caregiving industry must possess. There'll be many hurdles along the way-the patient is being stubborn and uncooperative, the schedule doesn't go as planned, or difficult situations arise. A caregiver who is very rigid will find it challenging to deal with these circumstances in a positive way.
