My name is Tanisha! I have been a caregiver since 2016 right before my grandmother was sick and suddenly passed. Thats where my passion really began, as a youg girl I would go with my mom to work in the nursing homes and i knew from there that thats what i wanted to pursue in life. I received my BA from Virginia Commonwealth University and I am currently working on my masters at Mary Baldwin University. I work a full-time at home job and am looking to pick up a few hours working as a CNA. I enjoy working as a CNA because I love getting to know people and their stories, assisting those who may have no one else to depend on, and providing genuine support. I am laid back and easy going. My clients like me because I allow them to do whatever they're able to do. I only help them to keep them safe. I feel my client find their autonomy one of the most important things they have left. I love this work. I feel like I'm an important part of these people's lives. The one thing I hate is when I have to leave them for one reason or another.

I am a young ambitious female trying to work her way through the medical field. I started taking care of adult with mental disabilities when I was 18 and have continued on that track. I love helping others and seeing someone else thrive is my true passion. I am willing to help anyone succeed, and I hope I am part of the reason why they did. I am proud to say I have earned my CNA, and CMA license and I intend to put them to good use helping others.

I became a Caregiver because after working over 19 years in custumer service/sales, I wanted to do something that would allow me to give back to society instead of taking from it. I wanted to offer my help to those who needed it the most. The best thing about being a caregiver is seeing the smiles on my client's faces when I come in to work or picking up the phone and hearing them on the other end asking how was my day when I was off from work. I enjoy taking my client's new places and introducing them to new things; such as, the zoo, amusement parks, museums, and even swimming. My personal achievement is meeting my husband, who has taught me financial stability and has taken me on several adventures all over the world. I enjoy meeting new people and helping those in need. I believe that we should "pay it forward" without looking for anything in return, because I know that God will bless me as I bless others. I am VA Med Ceritified and CPR/First Aid Certified.
