I first started working in a nursing home about 15 years ago as resident care person. then after that I start working with kids of all ages at a daycare center and group home. I worked the field now for 10 plus years. I am currently working in a nursing center as a Activity Director. I stared working in this feel because I love working with the public and helping people out. My heart goes out to the elders and the kids. I like working with them just to put a smile on their face and to be able to show them that someone do care. My achievement it to continue working with the elders and giving it my all. Working with kids and the elders have taught me a lot and made me want to continue to stay in this field. A little about me I really have a good heart and is a caring person. I enjoy doing and help other people just to see them smile. But most of all I think about I hope to get old one day as well as my mom. I would want them to be treated with respect and well taking care. So my thing is do unto other as you would want them to do to you. I am cpr certified and blood borne path.

Hello! Thank you for clicking on my profile. My name is Ashlei Smith and I'm a 27 y.o. RN with my BSN from Wayne State University. I decided on health care because no other job sector allows me to radiate my true passion for caring for others. I was a programmer analyst for Keybank, sitting behind a computer just miserable because of lack of human interaction. I had my daughter in 2015 and the amount of time and energy I put into her care made me feel so amazing that I decided I had to do this the rest of my life. "This" being caring for others. It sounds so strange to say but my current residents say to me so astounded at times, "You know...you really care." I know why they say that. In this world we live in people do only what they have to and then they're done with it. I truly am one of a kind and my level of care is exceptional. I am thorough in my care and also efficient with my time. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I made another person feel comfortable and took some of the stress that life throws at them away.
