I became a caregiver in 2004 and spent 11 years in the field. I fell in love with the profession and took pride in the fact that I was able to provide care for people that could no longer provide the care for themselves. I really do enjoy helping families when they need that extra hand for a loved one, so that they can get much needed breaks, while knowing that their loved one is in the hands of someone that's trustworthy. I spent nine years with one client through an agency, and then I was private because I was referred to one client because I helped his sister with her husband. She was so pleased with the care that I provided, she reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to help her sibling and I did. I spent a year with him and was there when he passed. I always fall in love with my clients, and I make sure that I go above and beyond to make sure that they are cared for properly.
