I have always been a caring, compassionate person who loves to help those in need. The need to do this arose after my father was ill with cancer for 2 years and I was his primary caregiver. It is a calling of sorts since then. I always try and do my best and never leave a job half way done or not done correctly. I have had two successful businesses, one doing hair and one senior clothing company. I pride myself on being hardworking and a honest person people can trust.

My maternal grandmother lived with me for 20 years after my grandfather passed. I was her caregiver and personal assistant for the last 3 years of her life. It broke my heart to lose her. At one time I was a nursing assistant. I found I really liked caring for the elderly. I like caring for seniors; I like helping them do things they cannot do for themselves. The thing I am most proud of is caring for my best friend Carolyn of 50 years who died of ovarian cancer. Her physician told me she actually lived a year longer than he ever expected because of the care I gave her and that I should be very proud. She had many surgeries and the hospital taught me how to clean and change the dressings on her wounds, and I did it. Her last surgery was an ostomy and I learned to care for that as well. In recent years I was a volunteer at the VA hospital and I really enjoyed that. I like to read especially history and biographies. I like real things about real people. I enjoy a good sense of humor and I really do like making people have a brighter day and my clients tell me that all the time.
