I grew up with a disabled mother and from a young age (about 9) had always helped her in care and chores around the house. When I moved back to NC in 2016 after my military service; a friend of mine needed a Habilitation tech and so that's how I got started professionally in caregiving. I have a passion for helping my community which is also what made me decide to join the Army. I am an active listener and always do my best to understand other peoples' perspective which has been a great skill I've developed with my experiences and has led to many potential issues being avoided before they begin.
