I have a big heart and often times put others before myself. As a child I always wanted to be a nurse but couldn't follow through with the needle portion so I found a caregiver job where I could still be hands on helping individuals and found it to be enjoyable. I enjoy the bond a caregiver gains with the individual they care for. When I care for someone it's almost as if they become family and we learn a lot about each other. I like to do my best to make individuals feel comfortable around me, to think of me more as a friend than a worker so they can be themselves and enjoy life without the awkward tension of a stranger caring for them.
I started doing home healthcare when I was 18 and fell in love with it. However, I entered into another field and stayed until I took an early retirement. I now currently have my CNA II and looking for more home caregiver opportunities. I have seen how much better senior live when they are able to stay home as opposed to nursing facilities. They are comfortable in their own environment and thrive when given personal care.

My name is Victoria Favreau and I am 21 years old. I am married to a Marine and live in Havelock. I am fairly outgoing and love conversations. I am very family oriented and my one passion in life is helping other people and I feel accomplished if I can make at least one person smile daily. As someone that had to be taken care of a good chunk of my late childhood, I understand needing a helping hand and now that I am able, I wish to be that helping hand.
I am a dependable and compassionate caregiver. I feel I have many different qualities that have helped me become a better CNA/Caregiver over the last 3 years. I am sympathetic, loving, sincere, considerate and very loving. Over the last 3 years I have taken plenty of vital signs, assisted with ADLs, engaged in conversation, maintained a clean household and so many others! The thing I love most about being a caregiver is how rewarding it is. I have a clean background, I am CNA licensed through the state of Indiana and I am in the process of transferring my license to North Carolina.
Hi, my name is Bobbie! Growing up, my nana was and is my best friend in the whole world. She has taught me everything I know, from cleaning, sports, cooking, all of it. I would go everywhere with her. Every Sunday we would go to nursing homes around our area and bring gifts, sing, or just hang out and talk to everyone. It was my favorite day of the week. I think being a care giver is the most rewarding job. Getting close with them, and treating with the love and respect that they deserve is what I live for.
I became a Caregiver when my grandparents needed the extra help. I enjoy talking and listening to the stories of the older generations. I enjoy helping others with day to day living. I have worked within an Assisted Living Facility Alzheimer's ward and found it humbling and enjoyable. I have worked in the medical field for several years and always enjoy helping others.
I began assisting with caregiving at the age of 15 when my Grandmother was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia.. After assisting my Mother with her care throughout my high school years I decided at the age of 18 I would register to enroll in the CNA course. I had no intentions of stopping there , I also enrolled in curriculum courses at the local college to take my prerequisites towards the RN program. After two years of college I was already a CNA and had completed my prerequisites for the Nursing program. I applied for the program and at this time it was very competitive . I didn't get accepted, but a friend advised me to to enroll in the Medical Assisting Program. This was successful; I completed the program and became a Medical Assistant in August 2007. I plan to re-apply for the RN program in the future. I have been in the Healthcare profession for 10yrs and I love it. Caregiving I believe has came to me as a God given passion and skill. My Grandmother who just celebrated her 82nd is being cared for by me and Mother. She is now bed bound but has acquired no skin breakdown, or any other issues that can stem from being restricted to the bed. I have had an impact on my patients throughout the years , almost as much as they have had on me, and I plan to continue helping individuals in the future.
